We were blown away and so flattered to hear that Stephanie Nugent & her husband Francis were arranging a Halloween fundraiser for MASScot last weekend! MASScot are Scotland’s only Skin Cancer charity and we do not receive funding from pharmaceutical companies – every single donation matters to us a huge amount.
So obviously, we were so grateful to hear that Stephanie and her partner Francis raised a mighty £600 for MASScot – how amazing is that!? Stephanie has kindly sent over some photos from the night – and to all those wonderful & fabulously dressed people (pictured or not pictured) who attended and/or donated we just want to say a massive thank you for your generosity!
We were inspired to hear about Francis’ experience with Melanoma – having had a Malignant Melanoma in his Parotid Gland. In June 2015, he had a full neck dissection and 5 weeks of Radiotherapy and is apparently now doing – and looking – great! You’ll see him pictured with Stephanie (as a doll) in a very beardy Jesus costume.
Melanoma Action and Support Scotland are actively involved in educating the public and school children on issues surrounding Skin Cancer, as well as providing a listening ear for patients through our support line. We also offer free therapy to those dealing with the ups and downs of different Skin Cancers.
Doesn’t this event look like the most fun ever? Anyway, we are completely touched that you chose MASScot and thanks a million- you are such special people! 💕💕🙌🙌
